There's a tiny spider in the corner of my bathroom & she's been there for over a week now. Seemingly in the same place, always sure of herself - never questions anything, never feeling threatened by splashes of water or my reputation, no second guesses. Brave thing - she doesn't seem to want to go anywhere. Maybe someday she'll find the controls & know exactly where she needs to be (cause it sure as hell isn't beside my toothbrush). Or maybe she already knows where she needs to be & is just taking her sweet ass time...one thing we don't have in common. I've never wanted to fast forward time so much, to just go past all the waiting & anxiety & tears and just get to whereever I need to be. I know I should just shut up & be happy here, but right now I'm feeling a bit impatient. Unlike the spider...mind you, she probably doesn't have anything(one) waiting for her.

I haven't killed her partly out of superstition, partly because of some weird connection....but maybe, mostly, because Rhi just has that influence.

alright so now im reeeaalllly pissed off

apparently there's a ton of DVDs missing from my basement - and im getting in shit for it. those dvds are kind of my stepdad's life, so it's really important I get them back.

and my camera's still missing.

seriously guys, ask your friends & your friend's friends if they took anything. like whoever invited Val & his friend? ya, ask them.....I dont care if it was a drunken confusion or whatever, but if I dont find this stuff I highly doubt Im having any more parties.

summer nights are the best - when the sun is covered and shoes are lost

ive found that spontaneity brings the most out of everything and im loving every minute of it

As soon as we think our night has gone to shit, everything gets turned around. It goes from anxiety, to excitement, to anger, to reaalllyy awkward, but ends amazingly.
It's strange...when this feeling's not open to me, I could really care less. But when you catch that tiny taste of what 'could be', it's as if nothing but that feeling could keep you going. I know, it's just something new to look forward to that'll probably go wro-wait...

naah lets just stick to it's something new to look forward to. Not that I know exactly what I'm looking at (or for, for that matter)...but who could turn down the anticipation? Simply getting something without the buildup is never really exciting - how would you know you deserved it?

and i dont know what to say. the bareable pressure on my finger tip tells me that pain has been taking lighter forms recently, but i like to think that im just a bit stronger. hah what a lie, if anything the new year has raked in an awareness of my weaknesses (forget assurance completely). im trying to read that without feeling a sense of pessimism. my jokes keep getting more & more amusing.
we picked up a book on the philosophy of bullshit, it seemed pretty interesting - though its only one of those things that sits on people's desks to make them look intelligent. pretty ironic - coming up with theories trying to explain the cliched crap that's shot out of our society today.

i hope you're all having a good week! mine's been pretty damn good, and hopefully saturday is the cherry on top....but who knows?? kelseys might just swallow me & jess whole. that or the taxi could be late. so many things can go wrong!!!

on a lighter note, i got a camera for christmas! (what's the best thing you got out of the holiday?)

we went to my mom's friends house for dinner, and she served everyone tea afterwards. when everyone was finished, she told us to turn our cup upside down and turn it 3 times to the left then flip it over. she read our fortunes from the images the tea leaves left in the cup! (creepy, notice the perfect "N" in mine)

I sat on the sidelines while you gazed & laughed & teared, actually I was you...I stared & laughed & held my breath - it got to the point where you embodied such a character that I couldnt bare to look at you! you grew up in that instant! strange how sometimes the circumstance is just as frightening as the character.

the adrenaline was pumping so hard it was bursting out of my fingers & toes, i swore my heart was about to break out of my chest and explode on stage -
in fact, i think it did.

sorry for the black eye (but hey, the bruises are worth it, arent they? especially when you deserved it!)

after a showcase of such talent & friendship (accompanied by a lot of heavy films) - I can confidently say im happy to be in suburbia. I'm fine with the fact that we have trees instead of a football team, and we have a room that we can blast music in & watch in awe while one of our friends salsa dances with "the number one ballroom dancer in ontario" afer-hours. I'm fine with the fact that I live a few minutes away from my job, one of my best friends, and hell - even the mall. I can deal with jynxing the word "scandal" (as stupid as we look), sipping candy cane hot chocolates, and eating a chicken wrap with my best friend at 10 in the morning. I can even handle laughing my ass off after you've called ME dumb & proceed to fall in the slush.

it's not conceited, and it's not inconsiderate, you're just all so unknowingly talented and [as much as you may not realize it] - you have a shitload to be thankful for.

so shut up & smile!

this guy at work asked me a riddle he didn't even know the answer to, but if you can figure this out, please let me know....

Three guys decide to spend the night at a hotel. The manager tells them it will be $30 a night - so great, $10 each.
Then the manager realizes it's only $25 a night, so he tells the bell boy to go up to their room and give them back their extra $5.
On his way up, the bell boy figures "fuck that, i'll just keep $2 to myself, and give each guy a loonie back" - so he does.
Since each guy payed $10, and they each got $1 back, then that's the same thing as saying they each payed $9.
(are you following?)
BUT if they each payed $9(x3)- thats only $27.....and the bell boy only kept $2 to himself - which adds up to $29.

what happened to the extra dollar?

its screwed up, i know.

im pretty sure it's impossible - but it's really bothering me.

last night was different for everyone - but i had a fucking amazing time. aside from the pukefest (which i sneakily avoided....with the exception of fiona), the ambulance, the ginos....

actually wait what am i saying?! all that drama is what made the party so good!

it sucks that so many people (*cough*jersapussy*) bolted when the ambulance came, you missed some crazy ass moshing in the basement - im bruised and battered like there's no tomorrow.

this day has been a mess.

most of you know about my sleep-in incident this morning...I can't believe I stood someone up - traditional tuesday breakfasts at tim hortons are amazing (especially with such a good friend)...and I slept through the freaking alarm! But I got my comeuppance...I stood her up (she took it lightly) and in turn he stood me up (& I want to shoot him in the face).

oh, and being knocked off a best friend list kinda bites the big one too...but that's just a footnote

I only wish you understood the amount of appreciation we've shown you
the fact that we've known each other for SIX years and now you've
decided to let a singular weekend disrupt such a friendship?
the fact that you'd let someone {who didn't know you when you were at

SO many memories in one night!!
Jessica, I'm never forgetting Queen's Qu-ay...
and then there's the guy who wouldn't get off my back (literally), running into an old friend, stepping on everyone's feet, screeching into this poor guy's ear, dancing like I didn't have half a brain, burger king at 1:30 am on a monday morning, and crazy-pigeon-killing-men-on-bikes...
